Reporting to the Account Director and working within the Marketing team, you will collaborate with internal creatives and external partners to deliver impactful campaigns and stand out visual assets across all media platforms. You will be responsible for maintaining the visual integrity of the different divisions within the Weylandts portfolio (Retail, , ensuring all creative work aligns with marketing goals and the brands’ identity.

This position will be based in Greenpoint, Cape Town.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead conceptual development for campaigns that differentiate each brand.
  • Responsible for all creative assets — from concept to final execution within deadlines (web, print, PR, store signage, any other TTL executions)

  • Generate clear ideas and concepts in collaboration with the Account Director and creative team
  • Responsible for the visual style and images in magazines, newspapers, product packaging, digital and social productions.

  • The Senior Art Director is responsible to manage the day-to-day operations of the creative team involved on the project, ensuring smooth workflow, effective resource allocation, and timely delivery of creative assets.

  • 5 + years of experience in a Senior or Heavyweight Art Director role
  • Strong digital design capabilities, including video
  • Proven experience within a retail environment, preferably in premium home décor or lifestyle brands
  • A passion for interior design, décor trends, and the luxury retail sector

Junior Copywriter At Weylandts

Job Description

The Junior Copywriter is responsible for creating and maintaining the tone of the various divisions within the Weylandts brand, through all copy touch points.

Original copy will need to be created for social and digital content, e-mailers, catalogues, website, range cards, tags, product descriptions, print, billboards, in-store installations and B2B brochures. It is crucial that the successful candidate understands the vision of the different divisions for execution.

This position will be based in Greenpoint, Cape Town.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a consistent ‘tone’ for Weylandts brand and other divisions in all marketing communication/ touch points
  • Producing effective copy for e-mailers, social media platforms, digital advertising, and web.
  • Execute on conceptualised ideas provided by the creative team for social media and other digital campaigns
  • Producing copy for product on the Weylandts website
  • Drafting brochure copy for and social media for the Business Solutions division

What you bring:  

  • 2+ years’ experience in social media and copywriting (agency or brand).
  • Strong digital knowledge and willingness to learn new platforms.
  • Understanding of retail and décor trends (or a keen interest to develop this).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
