Requirements :
- Grade 12 or equivalent with 5 years ‘relevant experience as a cleaner. Knowledge of leave management, knowledge of working procedures including equipment and working environment. SKILLS- Have basic numeracy. Literacy, good communication, sound human relation ability, basic interpersonal relationship and ability to rotate and work shifts. Be prepared to do physical labour when needed.
Duties :
:To monitor cleaning activities and Health Care Waste ensuring quality service delivery. Manage absenteeism. Be able to perform the needed administrative duties as required including preparing the duty rosters etc.
Apply relevant policies to manage leave. Manage resources effectively and efficiently in the department and stock control (ordering and issuing of stock) equipment and monitor overtime allocation.
Be able to follow Disciplinary Procedures when needed (Disciplinary Code and procedure, Grievance Procedure). Complete Performance Development and Management System (PMDS) for staff. To supervise, do ward round and spot checks daily. Ensure that terminal cleaning is done as per prescripts on regular basis.

The purpose of this learnership is to provide successful candidates with structured training, both on and off the job, to qualify as artisans in their respective trades.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Grade 12 / STD 10 / NQF Level 4 equivalent (essential)
- Minimum of N2 with four (4) completed subjects or NCV Level 4 in a relevant trade (essential)
