Job Description
We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Specialist to support a growing international company from their Northern Suburbs head office.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse product performance across global regions and identify trends, failures, and anomalies.
- Produce clear technical reports and maintain performance dashboards.
- Validate data submitted by field and refurb technicians.
- Escalate systemic or design-related issues to R&D.
- Provide remote troubleshooting support on complex technical cases.
- Review technical evidence (logs, photos, test results) and define corrective actions.
- Support root-cause investigations with the Refurb/Repair team.
- Assist with workflow and system improvements, ensuring internal data accuracy.
- Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Translate field insights into actionable product improvement recommendations.
- Support testing and validation of engineering changes.
- Contribute technical input to sourcing and specification decisions.
- Create and update MEP and site readiness drawings for installations.
- Define site requirements including water, electrical, drainage, and space.
- Maintain accurate documentation, CRM data, and internal technical content.
- Provide technical support to internal teams (Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing).
- Ensure showroom equipment is correctly configured, functional, and up to date.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a technical / engineering role (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, automation, water treatment, etc.).
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and system-level performance analysis skills.
- Experience working with field service data, dashboards, analytical tools, or performance metrics.
- Ability to interpret mechanical assemblies, wiring diagrams, and plumbing/electrical schematics.
- Practical experience with refurb/repair processes and component-level analysis.
- Experience creating or interpreting MEP and layout drawings.
- Familiarity with water treatment, filtration, pumping, or dosing systems (or willingness to learn).
- Strong computer literacy, including Excel, CRM systems, and technical documentation tools.
- Experience supporting or collaborating with R&D teams.
- Understanding of compliance, certification testing, or quality assurance (advantageous).
- Relevant engineering degree or diploma preferred; additional technical certifications beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license for occasional site visits.

Responsibilities
- Procurement and Suppliers
- Process and follow up on primary source documents (supplier invoices, credit notes, payments)
- Maintain awareness of Group policies, procedures, and Levels of Authority for procurement
- Maintain key relationships with suppliers’ finance departments and follow up on outstanding issues
- File all supporting documentation
- Assist in other areas as required
- General Accounting Records and Reconciliations
- Prepare cash books and bank reconciliations
- Assist with maintenance of fixed assets registers, including tagging and location verification
- Prepare reconciliation schedules for routine account balances

Requirements
- Matric and Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping
- Bookkeeper I: 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting
- Bookkeeper II: 3–5 years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting (3 years’ experience as Bookkeeper I)
- Accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in relevant computer skills, including SAGE X3, Excel, Outlook, Word, and VIP Payroll
